The year is 2075 and the world has been left broken by decades of war between humans and paranormal creatures. Negligent governments have used repair-funds for military technology and to continue scientific experiments on the supernatural. Power itself is given to no singular entity. Divinus Foedus, an organization which rose to power during the conflicts, has garnered substantial control over the human government through coercion, bribery, black mail, and forceful persuasion. Freelance mercenaries specializing in hits on rogue paranormal beings risk detainment by the organization. Larger "Private Hunting Companies" exist to offer those services on a grander scale. No one's closet is free of skeletons. No one is safe.
